What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. It lets the site recognise your browser on the next request - which is how a download link can know that it belongs to you.
Cookies this site sets
| Name | Purpose | Type | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
PSTOOLS |
Identifies your browser session so that the file you processed can be downloaded by you and nobody else, and so that forms are protected against cross-site request forgery. It holds a random identifier only. | Strictly necessary | When you close your browser |
This cookie cannot be switched off, because without it the tools cannot deliver your file back to you safely. It contains no personal information and is never shared.
Advertising cookies
Advertising is not currently displayed on this site, so no advertising cookies are set. If that changes, this page will be updated first.
Managing cookies in your browser
Every modern browser lets you view, block and delete cookies from its privacy or site-settings screen. Blocking all cookies will stop the download step from working here, because the session cookie is what proves the file is yours.
Local storage
The tools do not store your documents in your browser's local storage. Files are held in memory only for as long as the upload takes.
Changes
We will update this page whenever the cookies used by the site change. See also our privacy policy.
