1. Summary
PDF Tools And Image crop tools is a set of free browser-based document tools. We do not ask you to create an account, we do not ask for personal details to use a tool, and we do not keep the files you process. The sections below explain exactly what happens to the small amount of data that is involved.
2. The files you upload
When you use a tool, the file you select is transmitted to our server, processed, and made available to you as a download. During that time:
- The file is written under a randomly generated name that is not derived from your filename.
- It is stored in a directory that cannot be listed and cannot execute code.
- The download link is bound to your browser session, so nobody else can retrieve your result.
- Both the upload and the generated file are deleted automatically after 30 minutes, whether or not you downloaded the result.
We do not read, copy, analyse, share, sell or index the content of your files, and we do not use them to train anything. See the file deletion policy for the full detail.
3. Information we collect automatically
Like every web server, ours records basic technical information when a page or file is requested: the IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page and the browser's user agent string. These records are used for security (blocking abuse), for diagnosing errors, and for understanding which tools are used. They are not linked to the content of any file.
We also keep simple counters - how many PDFs and images were processed on a given day, and how many conversions failed. These are numbers only and contain nothing about you or your documents.
4. Cookies
We set one strictly necessary cookie that identifies your browser session. It is what allows your download link to work and what protects the forms against cross-site request forgery. It contains a random identifier and nothing else, and it expires when you close your browser.
Advertising and analytics providers may set their own cookies. Our cookie policy lists them and explains how to turn them off.
5. Advertising
Advertising is currently not displayed on this site. If that changes, this policy will be updated to describe the provider and the choices available to you.
7. Third parties
Some conversions can be performed by an external processing service when the site administrator has configured one - for example an AI background removal provider or a document conversion provider. In that case the file you uploaded is transmitted to that provider solely to perform the conversion you asked for, and the provider's own privacy terms apply to that transfer. The tool page tells you when an external service is in use.
8. Data we never collect
- We do not require or store your name, address or phone number to use a tool.
- We do not create user profiles from the contents of your documents.
- We do not sell any data to anyone.
9. Children
The site is intended for general use and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Your rights
Because we do not hold accounts or personal profiles, there is normally nothing for us to export or erase - your files are already gone. If you have contacted us by email or through the contact form, you may ask us to delete that correspondence at any time.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
