About Word to PDF

Convert a Word document into a PDF that looks the same on every device and cannot be edited by accident. The converter reads the document's own page setup - paper size, orientation and margins - and reproduces its headings, paragraphs, alignment, bullet lists, tables and inline images in the PDF.

How to use it

1. Upload a .doc or .docx file.

3. Download the finished PDF.

Supported formats and limits

Good to know

• Page size and orientation come from the document, so an A4 portrait file stays A4 portrait and a landscape file stays landscape.
• Headings, bold and italic text, alignment, bullet lists, tables and embedded images are carried into the PDF.
• Modern .docx files convert with full formatting. The much older .doc format stores its layout in a way that cannot be read without Office, so those files are converted as clean flowing text - re-saving them as .docx first gives a much closer match.
• Fonts that are not part of the standard PDF set are substituted with the closest available serif, sans-serif or monospace face.

Your files and your privacy

Files are uploaded over an encrypted connection, stored under a random name that cannot be guessed, and processed on the server. Nothing is shared with anyone, nothing is indexed, and every uploaded and generated file is deleted automatically after 30 minutes. You can read the full file deletion policy and our privacy policy.
